crazy nonsensical spurts-
Alright it's december again, I've been making mental notes since the start of the year to be consistent on writting blogs but reading them proves to be much easier. No updates this time though, guess the ones who matter should know and those who don't probably don't matter.
I love this quote;
"It's who you are inside that makes you a star"
People form judgements from the things they see and perceive to know, but what they didn't see is that they themselves like the drama of extreme judgements. You only know who a person truly is when he/she allows you to, otherwise all opinions are just opinions.
im drifting away..away...away.....~

crazy nonsensical spurts-
merry belated xmas to all!
sadly i only get to celebrate christmas in the hospital but thank god im back home! i started having intense adominal pains on xmas eve, decided to consult a doc and went to a family clinic since polyclinics were already closed. And that, was the start of it all. With the referral letter from the GP, i went to ttsh A&E and after consulting the doc, i was asked to take blood and urine tests, put on drips and to be under observation for the next 24 hours. And so, i spend xmas night in the observation ward not knowing if i had appendicitis or food poisoning or other illness because i dont have specific symptoms. Days passed like a blur, with just more urine and blood tests, scans and strictly nil by mouth. i finally had the operation on saturday, since they were 80-90% certain it was appendicitis and appendix has no use in our body so no harm removing it. Now im happily recuperating at home, ahh the comfort of my own bed, my own toilet, the tv, and the list goes on but most fabulous of all, is the freedom of having FOOD~
i want kfc
i want kfc
i want KFC!

crazy nonsensical spurts-
wow been 11 months and 3 days since my last entry, time for some new updates.
the sister is leaving for US in 4 day's time.
I'm an hour away from week 12.
i may soon need soothing songs to put me to sleep.
coraline is a scary dark tale.
i have by now, spent more than 8 hours today staring at the screen doing stuff unrelated to what seemed urgent now. Urgent referring to assignments and projects with desperate deadlines i need to meet.
someone said before, dont calculate the calories when you're about to binge, the more you do the more you eat the fatter you get. if u dont, chances are you eat less. so maybe the more you think about work when you're playing, the more you play the later you procrastinate. So perhaps i should just forget about work so that i'll start on them earlier.
what matters to you is what's been lacking

crazy nonsensical spurts-
for the first time since after a'levels im not working during the holiday and given my spending pattern, im broke to the max. oh no, how to survive the next sem?! but i must say this is a well-spent holiday; i have more time for friends, family, boyfriend and myself.
watched YES! Man a couple of days ago, and it dawned on me how much of a NO! Man(Girl) i used to be for a period of time. and i like what Zooey Deschanel had said, it goes something like "life is a playground, but somehow along the way as we grow up we forgot that". so apt so true, why do we always think about how others will see us, when as a toddler we don't even care whether we're pee-ing in our pants or who are watching as we throw tempers in shopping malls? why, as we grow up we became so afraid of making mistakes, of taking adventures and chain ourselves to societal norm? honestly how many of us are living our lives, or are we just passing days by?
it's about time to come out of your comfort zone of routines and start living your life. and for every opportunity that comes your way, be inclined to say YES! but at your own discretion, for you cant say yes to everything and anything like jim carrey did (you know why).
a mere 2 weeks before school starts again, people! enjoy yourself in the meantime, merry christmas~!! =)

crazy nonsensical spurts-
The other side of the coin is this: fall in love.
I didn't say 'be loved'. That requires too much compromise. If one changes one's looks, personality and values, one can be loved by anyone. Rather, I exhort you to love another human being. It may seem odd for me to tell you this. You may expect it to happen naturally, without deliberation. That is false. Modern society is anti-love. We've taken a microscope to everyone to bring out their flaws and shortcomings.
It's far easier to find a reason not to love someone, than otherwise. Rejection requires only one reason. Love requires complete acceptance. It is hard work - the only kind of work that I find palatable. Loving someone has great benefits. There is admiration, learning, attraction and something which, for the want of a better word, we call happiness.
In loving someone, we become inspired to better ourselves in every way. We learn the truth worthlessness of material things. We celebrate being human. Loving is good for the soul. Loving someone is therefore very important, and it is also important to choose the right person. Despite popular culture, love doesn't happen by chance, at first sight, across a crowded dance floor. It grows slowly, sinking roots first before branching and blossoming. It is not a silly weed, but a mighty tree that weathers every storm.
You will find, that when you have someone to love, that the face is less important than the brain, and the body is less important than the heart. You will also find that it is no great tragedy if your love is not reciprocated. You are not doing it to be loved back. Its value is to inspire you.
Finally, you will find that there is no half-measure when it comes to loving someone. You either don't, or you do with every cell in your body, completely and utterly, without reservation or apology. It consumes you, and you are reborn, all the better for it.
Extract of speech at a recent NTU convocation ceremony
Author of The Teenage Textbook (1988) - Adrian Tan
you don't need big words to tell how you feel; the simplest always says more.
you don't need big surprises to show you care; the smallest things in everyday life do more.

crazy nonsensical spurts-
been catching pushing daisies lately and had finished the short season last weekend, so let me do a skin-deep character introduction..now people who loves Ned and Chuck can stop here, you may not like what's below.
warning: this is not taken on a neutral stand.
Emerson Cod
Private investigator, and personal favourite of the favourites. A coolly witty, sarcastic, mean and pragmatic money-grubber, who breaks his cases with the help of the pie-maker, Ned. And he loves pop-up books and knits as a pasttime! how cute is that?
Ned
the introverted pie-maker..he's like living in his own world and at times wimpy, wishy-washy, hesitant and i dont know...but i kind of like the young Ned though.
Charlotte Charles aka Chuck
she's genuinely sweet to her aunts and the dead, but casting those aside, she's your kind of oh-i'm-nice-but-i've-a-knife-here-ready-to-stab-you-front-or-back-your-pick girl..or so i deduced.
Olive Snook
A slightly cranky waitress who everyone knows is secretly in love with Ned, and my second favourite..you would have thought she's the kind who would jump at the opportunity to expose whatever plot chuck has regarding her faking of death, try means and ways to break the lovebirds up, at least i did, but truth is, she's one kind soul.
cant talk about the other chracters because besides chuck's aunts and a few random people who i have zero interest in and digby who i cant make a character analysis from, the rest falls in one of the catergories - the dead, relatives of the dead, the killer.
now on a total different frequency. you know, it's true we're quick at judging people and when it comes to ourselves, we always have excuses which are also known as reasons and explanations..or we simply change how we think to fit into the excuses we're about to give and later claim that's our mindset all along...realising how we could make such mistakes but yet to be conscious of it, we should really open our minds and embrace with a big heart.
i think you can tell i'm really bored.
